Episode 2 Resources

Here's a list of resources for Episode 2: Bipolar Disorder in no particular order:
- American Psychiatric Association, What Are Bipolar Disorders?
- Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, What Is Bipolar Disorder?
- David J. Miklowitz, The Bipolar Survival Guide: What You and Your Family Need to Know, 2019
- Kay Redfield Jamison, An Unquiet Mind: A Memoir of Moods and Madness, 1995
- Candida Fink and Joe Kraynak, Bipolar Disorder for Dummies, 2023
The list is rather short for a couple of reasons. If you can manage to listen to my podcast and find my blog, I'm fairly certain you can google as well as I can. And, I want to judiciously dole out the book titles, so that you have time to savor them and so that I can try to be episode-specific in my list subject matter.
Yes, that is a Dummies book, but it has good information that is presented, as Dummies books are, in easily digestible chunks and in an order that is practical. It is also quite up-to-date. And, yes, An Unquiet Mind is the book I refer to in the episode for a description of mania.
